Three camera bags have been announced, all part of the new Manfrotto Manhattan range.
Grey is the new black
In an understated grey finish and with tidy minimalist design, we can see Manhattan bags appealing to those moving around clean urban spaces in particular. Yes, the marketeers have this one right, though of course these bags can be used anywhere.
Aimed at photo enthusiasts and hobbyists, the Manhattan range includes three different types of camera bag; the Manhattan Speedy 10 Messenger, the Manhattan Changer 20 (which is a 3-way shoulder bag) and the Manhattan Mover 50 backpack.
A bit about Manfrotto Manhattan
Manfrotto has created a new insert system for these bags, which is fixed by velcro straps and can easily be removed and reattached to transform the bag between photography and everyday use.
Featured inside the new insert system is Manfrotto’s new ‘Flexy Camera Shell’, which like in many camera bags is a padded divider system that can be shaped to securely fit one’s camera kit. Manfrotto claims its new Flexy Camera Shell offers unrivalled versatility. We’ll have to wait to get our hands on the bags to see what the fuss is about.
Consistent in all the Manfrotto Manhattan bags is the resistant ballistic fabric, premium zippers and wipe clean coated material on the underside.
The Manhattan Speedy 10 is the smallest in the range, ideal for the CSC user, with space for a couple of extra lenses plus 12in laptop and tablet.
We like the look of the Manhattan Changer 20 bag, which with a 3-way strap system can be worn as a messenger bag, backpack or tote bag. (In case you were wondering, that’s a handbag. Thanks Google.) There is a bit more space in this one, being large enough to hold a small DSLR with lens, 2 extra lenses and a 15in laptop, plus tablet.
Manhattan Mover 50 backpack is the largest in the range and can hold a mid-size DSLR with 70-200mm f/2.8 lens attached, a further 5 lenses or accessories, plus a 15in laptop and tablet.
We’ve only got press releases and pictures to go by, but the bags appear to be durable and with good thought put in to the design. Hopefully our kit will find its way in to a Manhattan soon.

The Manhattan range is competitively priced as follows; Manhattan Speedy 10 is £79.95, Manhattan Changer 20 is £99.95 and Manhattan Mover 50 backpack is £129.95
