During the European launch event for the Sony A9 we had the chance to shoot some sample images with the new camera. Time was rather limited, but we were able to test the new 20fps continuous shooting rate whilst photographing boxers, kick boxers and gymnasts. Below are some of the sample images from the brief shooting scenarios, as well as some animated gifs - that should give you an idea of what 20fps a second is like to shoot with.

This is what 20fps looks like. It is 40 images, so 2 Secs in real time
A gif image showing what 20fps looks like. Again, this is obviously slower than real time. Interestingly you can see that the camera is still changing exposure from each frame as it changes slightly during the gif.
